About Pete

Pete Rohleder, M.Ed., CSCS, is an expert in bridging the gap between the science of movement and real-world application. His passion is teaching others how to implement simple, practical solutions for better, more efficient health, fitness, and performance results.
Pete’s passion is people, as seen in his diverse, 18-year career in the fitness industry. As a Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he has worked with thousands of individuals at all levels, from beginners to professionals to help improve health, fitness, and performance.
Pete owned and operated Pure Fitness Rx, a training studio dedicated to evaluating performance and movement mechanics and implementing science-backed training strategies to help his clients enhance their performance and fitness levels.  His insight into body transformation provided him the opportunity to be the State Fitness Consultant for the Miss Kansas America pageant system for 6 years, with several clients winning swimwear, fitness, and state titles. He continues to consult with contestants, athletes, clients, and fitness trainers.
Pete has taught in Higher Education for 12 years, and currently is an Instructor in the Kinesiology program at Kansas State University, and has teaching experience in Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Strength and Conditioning, Performance and Movement Enhancement, Motor Learning, Program Design, and Professional Development.
Pete also speaks on various topics within the field, and he develops curriculum and presents at workshops across the United States for Exercise ETC., one of the country’s largest providers of fitness education programs for fitness professionals.
Pete is certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 2011 and trained since 2006.  He holds a master’s degree in Exercise Science from Wichita State University with a focus in Human Performance.
A previous east-coaster and now Midwesterner, a happy husband and proud dad, Pete enjoys spending his “free time” nerding-out about movement, living an active lifestyle, and finding new and exciting ways to share his knowledge with you!
